Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic nursing functions and activities of daily living under RN supervision. The PCT assists in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment, complies with hospital policies, and observes State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing nursing care plans and performing direct and indirect patient care.
• Recording patient information, vital signs, and other data.
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and discharges.
• Collecting specimens and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Serving as Monitor/Telemetry Tech as needed.
• Engaging in evidence-based practices to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
