Responsibilities

Job Summary

Provides patient-related care tasks based on growth and development principles across the lifespan. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical records of care delivered.


Essential Functions
  • Delivers and collaborates on direct patient care under supervision, including personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, interventions, and parts of the care plan as directed by a nurse.
  • Observes and reports patient condition changes to licensed caregivers and documents care accurately.
  • Addresses questions or concerns from patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
Experience
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing, or Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (NA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), or 6 months healthcare experience within the last year - Required
  • 6 months acute care experience - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Preferred
  • Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) - Preferred
