Job description


Shift- Days 7:00 AM 7:30 PM Full Time 36 hrs./week. Weekend and Holiday rotation.


GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.


Responsibilities:



  • Aids with entry and exit of patients.

  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.

  • Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.



Licensure / Certification / Registration:



  • Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.


Education:



  • High school graduate or equivalent is required.

  • Completion of, but not limited to, one or more of the following areas required: Certified Nurse Assistant program OR one or more years hospital experience as a Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate program, Medical Office Assistant program OR other direction care vocational training, Current Co-op Student, Nursing Student enrolled in an accredited RN program and has completed the Fundamentals of Nursing. -


Work Experience:



  • Previous experience in direct patient care required.

  • Preferred hospital experience or certified PCT
