Job summary

Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist patients with daily living activities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Focus is on safety, cleanliness, and patient-focused care in a busy hospital environment.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a state-approved PCT program (CPCT), BLS, and national certification options. Preferred 6 months PCT and phlebotomy experience with on-site, full-time night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months PCT experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain safe, hazard-free, clean environment to facilitate patient-focused care.
• Follow delegated procedures and communicate with licensed nurses.
