POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician is competent to perform both as a Unit Secretary, Certified Nursing Assistant. The Patient Care Technician is flexible and may be assigned as a unit secretary, certified nursing assistant, or in a dual position where both skills are utilized simultaneously. The Patient Care Technician performs these duties under the direction of the Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager.

The Patient Care Technician will assist the licensed nursing staff in performing basic patient care and related work as required under supervision of RN/Charge Nurse. The Patient Care Technician will perform specific clerical and reception functions under the direction of the Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager. S/he requisitions supplies, equipment and services as directed

Requirements:

• California Certified Nursing Assistant
• Medical Terminology class or one (1) year experience in medical related field
• CPR American Heart Association

Position Pay Range: $18.63- $25.18/hour
