Overview

North 3 consists of a 24-bed post-surgical cardiac and vascular nursing department. It cares for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and procedures including cardiothoracic, cardiovascular surgery, electrophysiology procedures, and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). The environment is fast-paced with high acuity patients requiring cardiac care and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities
  • A PCT will perform patient care and treatments under the supervision of an RN. This includes activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection, and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position, and transport patients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Show initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Qualifications
  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
  • Department of Labor Level III (Medium) Work classification.
