Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Inpatient General Medical/Surgical Unit. This full-time role runs 7am–7pm on three 12-hour shifts, with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday track.

Join a team dedicated to patient safety and comfort under RN supervision. Candidates should have CPR certification and nursing assistant training or relevant experience, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Experience: six months of patient care experience or completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or equivalent.
• Education: N/A
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork and the ability to prioritize and follow directions.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position Patient Care Technician - Inpatient General Medical/Surgical Unit
• Location Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours 7am-7pm (three 12 hour shifts) with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday track

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
