Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health at Beverly Hospital is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team. The role includes vital signs, hygiene assistance, and basic care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

You will help with measurements, meal service, and documentation, ensuring patient comfort and safety. CNA preferred; BLS required within 90 days. Full-time, non-exempt position with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and measure height/weight.
• Monitor oxygen saturation and report deviations to RN.
• Collect specimens for analysis.
• Record and measure intake and output.
• Assist patients with personal care and daily activities.
• Provide nutritional support and help with meals.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
