The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is ranked the nation's top hospital for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals." As a Magnet Recognized Hospital, we have a community of nearly 3,000 professional nurses dedicated to providing excellent oncology nursing care.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably at least one year of recent experience working in direct patient care. Must be able to work shifts including: 7pm - 7am and 11pm - 7am, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Medical Oncology G21 Unit: The unit is a 48-bed, four-pod intermediate medical oncology unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients aged 18-95. Patients include those with colorectal, gastrointestinal, and lung cancers receiving complex chemotherapeutic and bio-immunotherapeutic regimens, managing treatment side effects and complications, and supportive care. Additionally, G21 serves patients with acute non-cancer medical issues, requiring cardiac monitoring and infusion of cardiac medications.

Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Required: None; Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant.
Licensure/Certification: Required: None; Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Other: Must pass pre-employment skills test as administered by Human Resources.
