Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg is seeking a Nurse Technician to support nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. You will handle vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a clean, safe environment on the Med/Surg unit.

You will work under an RN, monitor patient conditions, and document care per standards. The role offers growth through education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Licensure: SRNA or EMT preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
• Maintain patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Support nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
• Manage tech desk operations and assist with maintaining efficient department throughput.
• Document patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
• Participate in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
