Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg is hiring a Nurse Technician to provide foundational patient care under RN supervision. You will monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain clean, safe patient areas in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, teamwork with nursing and physician staff, and active participation in ongoing education and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• SRNA or EMT licensure preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
• Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
• Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining department throughput.
• Documents patient care and activities per hospital and unit standards.
• Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
