Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech for Evanston Hospital. This part-time role (20 hr/wk) runs Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with rotating weekends, located at Evanston Hospital.

You will work under a registered nurse to deliver patient care and support routine nursing tasks. You will participate in vital sign measurement, EKGs, IV care support, specimens, admissions/discharges, and care-plan implementation while promoting safe, compassionate, high-quality care across the

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• CNA training or nursing clinical rotation preferred
• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider required
• 1 year of customer service or nursing assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work under RN supervision to deliver patient care
• Assist with vital signs, including manual blood pressure
• Support 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley removal, specimen collection and patient bathing
• Assist with room admission, discharge prep and other RN delegated duties
• Help implement a patient care plan and participate in unit activities
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experiences

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Location: Evanston Hospital

Full Time/Part Time: Part Time - 20 hr/wk

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, rotating weekends

What you will do

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
• Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure)
• Assist with 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding
• Admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
• Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• License: N/A
• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
