AdventHealth in Florida seeks a patient care technician to prepare rooms for new admissions, greet patients, and orient them to their spaces. You will transfer patients with assistance and ensure safety through proper lifting techniques, while documenting vitals and care activities in the EMR.

The role requires strong English communication, compassion and teamwork. A High School Grad or Equiv is required, with 1+ year experience preferred, and BLS/CPCT/A/CNA/EMT certifications may be required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare rooms for new admissions and orient patients.
• Transfer patients between beds, stretchers and wheels with assistance.
• Ensure patient safety with proper lifting techniques.
• Document vital signs, intake/output and weights per policy.
• Collect and label specimens and send to lab for analysis.
• Report changes in patient status promptly to staff.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, staff and medical personnel.
• Maintain accurate patient records and unit census.
• Respond to patient call lights and address needs per skill level.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as ordered.
