Patient Care Technician Lagrange (Finance)

Under the day-to-day direction of the on-duty nurse practitioner/physician assistant, the primary purpose of the Patient Care Technician (PCT) position is to maximize patient flow through the clinic while providing an excellent patient experience. The PCT is responsible for performing administrative tasks, including electronic health record (EHR) documentation, in accordance with company policy. The role also involves demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Excellent customer service and task management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Ability to maintain a safe, survey-ready healthcare environment
  • Greeting patients and visitors professionally
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the clinic

  • Managing patient flow and registration effectively
  • Verifying patient identities and insurance information
  • Collecting payments and documenting in the EHR
  • Assisting with specimen collection and reporting labs as directed
