Job Description: Facilitates and assists in meeting the needs of the patient within the responsibilities delegated by the Registered Nurse (RN). Follows the direction of RNs, Lead/Charge Nurses, Nursing Directors, and House Supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must attend and successfully complete the UTMC Healthcare Tech training course and maintain CPR/BLS certification thereafter.

Additional Requirements:

• Current CPR/BLS certification and either a State Approved CNA/STNA certification, recent graduate of an accredited nursing program, or successful passing of the Skill Assessment.
• Ability to write legibly, speak articulately, follow directions, and work under supervision.
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays, rotate shifts/units.
• Physical requirements include visual acuity, hearing ability, manual dexterity, ability to lift 50 pounds, and perform CPR.
