Job summary

Mercy Rehab Hospital Springfield, MO is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will perform clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to providing quality care in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare program; current Mercy coworker also eligible.
• Experience: None.
• If no prior experience, 175-hour training program within 90 days of hire per state guidelines.
• Certifications: BLS within one month; CPCT competencies within 3 months.
• Minimum Physical Requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods.

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care to support wellness.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
