Job summary

Innovative Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician in Cottage City, MD to provide high-quality dialysis patient care. You will monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, record stats, assist with cannulation, observe patients, and help set up the hemodialysis machine.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, comfort around blood/needles, and current BLS/CPR. Certification from BONENT/NNCC/NNCO or state-approved is preferred.

Qualifications

• Desire to care for people and comfort around blood and needles.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Current PCT certification from BONENT, NNCC, NNCO or state-approved certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.

• Initiate cannulation and assist with hemodialysis machine setup.

Job Requirements

Our Patient Care Technicians provide high-quality patient care to patients suffering from the most advanced stage of chronic kidney disease, known as END Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). As a PCT you will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, initiating cannulation, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Our Patient Care Technicians have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life.

Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a desire to care for people and be comfortable working around blood and needles.
• Experienced PCTs must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, or NNCO or if applicable other state approved certification.
• Experienced PCTs are required to have current BLS/CPR certification.

Salary Range:

• $ 24.00- $30.00 / hour depending on experience and qualifications
