Job Description Summary

The Patient Care Tech II reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT II performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

Job Summary/Purpose

The PCT II supports patient care activities under RN supervision, promoting a patient-centered approach to achieve health outcomes.

Minimum Training and Education

High school diploma or GED required. One year of healthcare experience preferred. Certifications such as CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant are advantageous.

Licensure and Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire, maintained throughout employment.

Physical and Other Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working in various environments. Visual and auditory acuity required. Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

The role involves working in a latex-safe environment and may require respirator qualification for selected positions.
