The Patient Care Tech II reports to the Nurse Manager. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs multi-skilled activities to support a patient-centered approach to care and achieve outcomes.
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. One year of patient care experience preferred. Certification as CNA, EMT, or Paramedic, or enrollment in a related healthcare program with relevant coursework is also preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire. Must maintain current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, working from elevated areas, in confined spaces, and performing various physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and fine motor activities.
Additional sensory and visual capabilities are required, including good peripheral vision, hearing, color discrimination, and the ability to recognize objects and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, in a latex-safe environment, and maintain tactile and olfactory sensory functions. Qualified for respirator use if required.
