This unit is located at Thomas Jefferson University Campus.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are planned 6 weeks in advance. This position requires:

• Working nights
• Three 12-hour shifts weekly
• Every third weekend
• One holiday per season

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Patient Care Tech IIs will provide direct bedside care, including:

• Performing assigned nursing procedures for patient comfort and well-being
• Maintaining documentation, including flow sheets
• Possessing advanced knowledge in phlebotomy and lab specimen collection (T&S, Blood Cultures)
• Assisting physicians with examinations and tests
• Providing respiratory and rehabilitation services

Qualifications

To qualify as a Patient Care Tech II, candidates must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification as PCT, CNA, or EMT
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience or certification with advanced skills within six months of hire
• AHA BLS certification
