About the Role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT II) supports nursing and medical staff in patient care, coordinates activities in outpatient and procedural areas, and facilitates patient flow. The role involves assisting with patient data collection, performing screenings, and executing technical functions relevant to the area of assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited medical/nursing assistant course.
  • Two years of recent relevant healthcare experience.

License & Certifications

  • Nursing/Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician II Certification.
  • Vision and Hearing Certification within six months of hire.
  • EKG, Sterilization, and/or Phlebotomy competency validation within six months of hire, as applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from an AHA-approved program.

Additional Requirements

  • Other certificates as required by the unit.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, familiarity with medical terminology, research, and report writing.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Experience with CRT, medical terms, PC, and computer/key entry.

Work Schedule: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Equipment Operated: Minor medical equipment, computer devices.
