Job summary

Highland Hospital of Rochester NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician 2 to support direct patient care on the nursing unit. You will assist with vital signs, bathing, turning patients, and ensuring comfort for patients and families under RN supervision.

The role includes documenting outputs from drainage systems, transporting patients and specimens, restocking supplies, and reporting changes in patient condition. This is a full-time, 36-hour week position with hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required for all levels.
• CPR certification on hire (AHA/Red Cross).
• College credits preferred for Level IV Senior PCT.

Responsibilities

• Measure, document patient vital signs.
• Maintain, document output from drainage systems.
• Bath, toilet, and groom patients.
• Position and turn patients.
• Recognize, document, and report changes in patients.
• Restock and maintain unit patient care supplies.
• Transport patients and specimens.
