Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires BLS certification and prior healthcare experience, with responsibilities spanning diverse tasks to promote patient-centered outcomes. Rotating shifts and a 0.3 FTE allocation are noted, with compensation based on hourly pay rates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year work experience in a .6fte PCT I position at MUSC CHS or 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility; or a college degree, or active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution; or active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution; or a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant, or equivalent training.
• Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
