Job summary

The Patient Care Technician II at Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) is responsible for assisting in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting a decentralized, patient‑centered approach, and helping achieve desired outcomes.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of relevant healthcare experience, BLS within 2 weeks of hire, and current certification. Position is 0.3 FTE with rotating shifts and 36 hours per week at MUSC CHS.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of patient care work or related healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire and to be maintained.

Responsibilities

• The PCT II reports to the Nurse Manager and works under an RN to support patient care.
• Performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach and outcomes.
