CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for its Intermediate Care Unit. The role involves assisting registered nurses in providing care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, while ensuring high-quality service in line with CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
Job Summary: 3IMC is a twenty-four bed Intermediate Care Unit cardiac specific unit. The registered nurse provides direct care to patients that require a higher level of care and continuous cardiac monitoring. The following types of patients are admitted to the unit: atrial/ventricle dysrhythmias, bradycardia/tachycardia events, post catheterization, post pacemaker placements, and heart failure patients. 3IMC also provides care to medical IMC level patients.The Patient Care Technician II assists the nursing staff by performing assigned duties for patient and staff under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Tech II duties include but are not limited to secretarial functions and NA II skills.
