Compensation:
Pay Range: $15.50- $19.50 / hour

The Interventional Cardiovascular Unit (ICVU) is a 32-bed step-down unit that provides care to patients with general cardiology diagnoses and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), as well as before and after surgical procedures within the UAB Heart & Vascular Center. This unit features a dynamic atmosphere for nurses to advance their critical thinking skills and technical expertise in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. ICVU is part of the UAB Cardiovascular Institute, which is consistently ranked among the nation’s top 50 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report. Job Description:
To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN for the hospital. To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required within thirty (30) days of employment.
