Job summary

Oneida Health is seeking a per diem Nursing Patient Care Technician for the night shift in our Hospital ICU Department. You will assist the ICU Nursing Team while gaining experience in key roles within the unit and deliver direct patient care under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate will work well independently and as part of a team, maintaining a safe environment and communicating effectively with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in BLS/CPR preferred.
• Two-way communication and observation skills essential for patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team within ICU.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
• Assist RN with patient care tasks and education as needed.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Complete ward clerk and clerical tasks as needed.
• Routinely document patient information and communicate changes to care team.
