Overview

DaVita is hiring a Float Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Location: 8191 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia, 23116, United States of America

Dialysis experience required. Current CCHT (Certified Hemodialysis Technician's license) required.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Float to work shifts amongst multiple facilities within the Richmond area
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Qualifications
  • Current CCHT certification required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
