Job Description
General Summary
Under the direction of professional nursing staff, provides direct patient care, including taking vital signs, checking surgical dressings, assisting with activities of daily living, blood draws, and specimen collection. Observes and reports patient status to identify needs and provide appropriate care. Serves as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
Performs patient testing and manages care based on clinical findings. Records activities including vital signs, ADLs, patient intake/output, and weight. Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges, and wound care. Collaborates with healthcare team, responds to alarms, and ensures safety and comfort of patients. Maintains cleanliness and supplies, and participates in patient rounding. Performs specimen collection, device care, and documentation. Ensures compliance with safety standards and reports adverse events. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Maryland CNA or GNA certification required. No prior experience necessary; healthcare experience preferred. BLS certification required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team, organize priorities, perform multiple duties, and function under stress. Competence in computer systems, blood glucose monitoring, and delegated nursing tasks, respecting patient diversity.

Compensation
Pay Range: $17.17 - $24.76
