The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Patient Care Technician I (PRN) to join our care team. In this PRN role, you will assist with daily patient care, support nurses, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

You will monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and communicate changes to the nursing staff. Candidates should hold a high school diploma and a current BLS certification; PCT training is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Patient Care Technician training program preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed.

Aufgaben

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and patient care procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
