Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a CNA/GNA for PRN, 12-hour rotating shifts in Maryland. The role provides direct patient care, takes vital signs, assists with ADLs, and collects specimens under supervision.

BLS and Maryland CNA/GNA certification are required, with a focus on safety and accurate documentation. Responsibilities include wound and skin care, patient transfer and admission/discharge support, and collaboration with the care team to optimize patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision; takes vital signs; assists with activities of daily living.
• Performs blood draws and collects specimen samples.
• Observes and reports patient status and communicates care needs to the health care team.
• Participates in hourly patient rounds and ensures safety and comfort of patients.
