What you need to know about this position:
- Our Medical/Surgical floor is an 18-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
- Patients on this unit could include those recovering from surgeries, bariatric procedures, strokes, or being treated for other medical conditions or receiving renal dialysis.
- As a Patient Care Technician I, you play an important role in our patient's experience and safety—you are typically the first face a patient sees when entering the unit and the face they see most frequently.
- You will work with a nurse, engaging with patients through activities such as answering call lights and questions, assisting with daily living activities, and taking vital signs.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $16.40, with compensation determined by relevant experience. It includes shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The total rewards package also features a comprehensive benefits program for qualifying positions. Night shift pay differential is updated.
- This position involves working 2 night shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), totaling 24 hours/week, with holiday and weekend requirements.
- With at least 16 hours per week, this position is benefit-eligible.
What is required for this position:
- Upon hire, you must have:
- Verifiable work experience.
- Healthcare-related work experience is preferred.
- Within 30 days of hire, you must obtain:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- While being a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is not required, we encourage CNAs to apply for our Patient Care Tech (PCT) positions.
- CRH provides training and time to acquire certification after employment if you do not already have it.
- This position requires regular standing, frequent walking, pushing or pulling, occasional use of hands to handle objects, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, or smelling. It also involves frequently lifting or moving objects over 50 lbs.
