About this position:

  • Our Medical/Surgical floor is an 18-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
  • Patients may include those recovering from surgeries, bariatric procedures, strokes, or being treated for other medical conditions, including renal dialysis.
  • As a Patient Care Technician I, you play a vital role in patient experience and safety, often being the first and most frequent face patients see.
  • You will work with a nurse, engaging with patients through activities such as answering call lights, assisting with daily activities, and taking vital signs.
  • The base hourly rate is $16.40, with compensation based on relevant experience, including shift differentials and premium pay where applicable. A comprehensive benefits package is available for qualifying positions, including updated night shift pay differentials.
  • This position involves working two 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with holiday and weekend requirements. It is considered part-time (24 hours/week).
  • Benefits are available for positions with at least 16 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Upon hire, must have:
    • Verifiable work experience, preferably healthcare-related.
  • Within 30 days of hire, must obtain:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • While not required, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are encouraged to apply for our Patient Care Tech positions. CRH provides training and time to obtain certification after employment.

This position involves regular standing, frequent walking, pushing, or pulling, and occasional use of hands for handling objects. It requires reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, or smelling. The role may require lifting and moving objects over 50 lbs.
