Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Inpatient Medical-Surgical unit, 7p-7a, full-time. The PCT provides nursing assistant support under RN supervision, including vital signs, ADLs, admissions, discharges, and patient transport.

Responsibilities also include accurate documentation, coordinating with health care team, and performing clerical tasks as needed. Prior clinical exposure is helpful; CMA/CNA/RMA certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Completes patient care such as V/S, I&O, heights and ADLs as directed.
• Documents patient care and other assignments per department guidelines.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge under licensed staff.
• Communicates patient/family needs to the health care team to tailor the care plan.
• Acts as a courier between departments to meet daily unit requirements.
• Performs clerical duties like reception, telephones, and supply management.
• Keeps supplies and equipment organized, clean, and stocked.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
