Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility and personal care, helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will assist with preparation, transfers, dressing changes, skin care, and maintain clean, stocked areas, while communicating with patients and families to support safety and quality; BLS and CNA within specified timelines are required.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA certification must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
