Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses in hands-on care and create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in NC.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
