Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a hospital-based unit secretary/Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff and coordinate clerical tasks on the patient care unit.

The role functions as a communication hub for the nursing team, ensuring smooth operations and timely information flow. Preferred candidates have clerical or medical terminology training, with PCA/CNA certification or RN program enrollment.

Qualifications

• Completion of clerical or medical terminology course.
• PCA or CNA course completion certificate.
• RN degree program enrollment and fundamentals of nursing curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Function in patient care assistant and/or unit secretary role.
