Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is seeking a dedicated Technician to assist with patient care and monitoring in a 50-bed acute care facility. The role includes observing cardiac-related tasks, vital signs, and administrative duties at the front desk within a day shift.

Under supervision of the RN, you will support essential care activities, maintain charts, and help ensure a clean, stocked work area. Strong preference for prior Medical secretary/receptionist experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED or equivalent; Preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Preferred.
• Medical secretary/receptionist experience; Preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities, under guidance of Charge Nurse or shift leader.
• Takes and records vital signs, including pain scale.
• Performs clerical duties, including chart management and maintaining unit supplies and forms.
• Manages front desk, assembling and maintaining medical charts.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties involving the observation of cardiac monitors, interpretation and documentation of Cardiac Rhythm strips. Provides personal patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Medical secretary/receptionist experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
