Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Float PRN to join a collaborative nursing team. You will support RNs with vital signs, patient mobility, and comfort, while helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

As a PCT, you will perform non-medicated tasks, participate in infection control, and communicate clearly with patients and families. This role is PRN and on-site at a busy acute-care hospital in Florida.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
