Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join a facility-based float pool. This role provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN, supporting safety, comfort, and healing across multiple departments.

You will work with patients, families, and the care team to deliver high-quality care and maintain competency in unit-specific tasks. The position requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) and BLS certification, with prior healthcare experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care duties including hygiene, comfort, rest, mobility, and elimination support.
• Assists with patient procedures and emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Records patient intake and output and documents observations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provides support in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Assists with range of motion, ambulation, patient transfers, diet, and postmortem care.
• Observes and reports significant or unusual patient or environmental information to RN/LPN.
• Utilizes appropriate technology and equipment safely in the provision of care.
