The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include performing routine direct patient care activities that ensure patient safety and comfort, observing patients, and reporting changes in patient condition. The PCT also performs skills such as phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
