Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our nursing team as part of the Float Pool. You will assist with daily patient needs, monitor conditions, and help with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while upholding safety and dignity.

Collaborate with Registered Nurses, maintain clean and stocked patient areas, and support infection control and care plans.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
