Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to support patient care delivery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role may float to all SMHCS hospital campuses, providing flexible coverage across departments to ensure timely, quality patient care for diverse populations.

Required qualifications include Florida licensure as CNA, EMT, or Paramedic, or an eligible nursing student enrolled in an accredited program with clinical progress; or PCT/CNA

Qualifications

Florida licensure as CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or national EMT license; active during employment.
Nursing students eligible for CNA exam must be enrolled in an accredited Nursing program and meet progression requirements.
PCT or CNA certification with Florida license must be obtained within 120 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

Assist in patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
May float to all SMHCS hospital campuses to support staffing needs.
