Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Patient Care Technician in the Orthopedics Surgical department. The role supports patient care delivery under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Required qualifications include Florida licensure as CNA/EMT/Paramedic or active EMT national licensure, nursing students eligible for CNA, and Florida CNA certification within 120 days post graduation. BLS CPR is mandatory.

Formación

• Florida licensure as CNA, EMT, or Paramedic (or military medical equivalent) active during employment.
• Nursing students eligible for CNA exam: enrolled/graduate; not yet licensed RN/LPN; must meet program requirements.
• PCT/CNA certification with Florida State Board-approved program and Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.

Responsabilidades

• The Patient Care Technician assists with patient care delivery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Provide basic patient care tasks and ensure safety and comfort of patients.
