Job summary

UM Charles Regional Medical Center, part of the University of Maryland Medical System, seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and deliver direct patient care. You will assist with routine tasks under RN supervision and contribute to a safe, compassionate patient environment.

Requirements include a High school diploma, Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification, CPR, and preferably 1 year of hospital patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification required and a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of hospital-based, community college, EMT, or Medical Corpsman training program.
• Minimum of one year of recent direct patient care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform direct care activities including care, nutrition, observation, and transportation per plan.
• Document activities and ensure safety and timely patient support.
