Job description

Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech II is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area(s) (see below). The Patient Care Tech II is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completing all patient care-related documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a CNA program, or completion of first semester nursing program, or EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services (for hires after 10/31/16).
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Experience with basic data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of dysrhythmia course or ability to pass rhythm recognition exam/test, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Coursework/Training: EKG Training.
  • 1 year of acute patient care experience, or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical support related to provider or patient documentation or charting.
