The Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Endoscopy Center supports the nursing and medical team by ensuring a clean, safe, and prepared environment for patient care. This role involves assisting with surgical preparation, room turnover, patient transport, and supply management. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in a surgical or endoscopy setting.

- Efficiently utilizes time by completing assigned responsibilities and seeking additional tasks when available.
- Organizes workflow to support on-time procedure starts and efficient case turnovers.
- Manages stress well, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Properly stores all equipment and supplies post-procedure.
- Participates in cost-saving strategies and avoids waste of resources.
- Completes required annual self-appraisal and associated documentation.
Essential Performance Functions- Prepares and maintains the surgical environment for each patient, ensuring readiness for procedures.
- Provides direct patient care as defined by institutional performance standards.
- Cleans and turns over the OR between cases and prepares rooms per established protocols.
- Manages patient transport and restocking of supplies according to standards.
- Cleans and resets the OR at the end of the day to prepare for next-day use.

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.
