El Paso Childrens Hospital Corporation is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the nursing care team. Under the supervision of RNs and clinical staff, you will assist with ADLs, monitor patient status, and help promote a safe, cost-effective environment.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, BLS, and relevant certificates (CPT, CNA, EMT, CMA). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. This role emphasizes communication and teamwork in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

Position SummaryFunctions as a key member of the nursing care team by participating in the implementation of select components of the patient’s plan of care under the direct training of the Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, and Director. Promotes exceptional customer service with patients and their families and makes recommendations for improved patient care and the promotion and maintenance of a safe, cost-effective healthcare environment. Assists the Registered Nurse in providing ADL (activities of daily living) needs of patients. Communicates and documents patients’ status. Participates in various continuing education programs, surveys and attends staff meetings as directed. Follows hospital policies and procedures supporting performance improvement efforts in patient care services.
