Madera Community Hospital in the heart of Central California is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. This role combines clerical duties with hands-on patient care under the supervision of the RN staff.

Prefer 1–2 years of patient care experience; Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training is a plus. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required, and Spanish bilingual skills are preferred to support our diverse community.

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Technician’s role in the Emergency Department is a dual one. The Patient Care Technician functions as both a clerical employee and as a patient care provider under the supervision of the RN staff. The Patient Care Technician’s patient care role is task orientated.

Qualifications:

Prefer 1-2 years patient care experience. Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant training and knowledge, EMT or Equivalent education preferred.

Work experience requiring positive interaction with patients, families and public. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Bilingual-Spanish Preferred.

Requires Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
