Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of teaching, training, or related professional experience.
  • PA healthcare credentials, certification, licensure, or accreditation applicable to the position.
  • Healthcare experience related to Patient Care Technician or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and mentor young adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and student records.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging, hands-on instruction in Patient Care Technician skills, procedures, and workplace practices.
  • Prepare students for successful completion of Career Technical Training and applicable industry-recognized certifications.
  • Develop and deliver lessons, activities, demonstrations, and assignments that support student learning and career readiness.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide individualized support to help students successfully complete their training.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe, and positive classroom environment that promotes learning.
  • Hold students accountable for Center expectations, including dress code and behavioral standards.
  • Mentor students and model professional workplace behaviors and Career Success Standards.
  • Provide students with guidance, job leads, and career information related to healthcare opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Career Transition Services and other departments to support student placement and successful transition after graduation.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student records and documentation.
  • Follow all Center, DOL, Company, and PRH guidelines, including requirements related to student safety, confidentiality, and data integrity.
  • Support Center performance goals by providing high-quality instruction and student services.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across departments to ensure students receive comprehensive services and support.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective PCT instruction.
  • Provide appropriate supervision and guidance to students and positively influence student behavior.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of one year of teaching, training, or related professional experience required.

  • Must possess appropriate PCT/healthcare credentials, certification, licensure, or accreditation applicable to the position and recognized in Pennsylvania.

  • Healthcare experience related to Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or a closely related field preferred.

  • Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred.

  • Previous Job Corps experience preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and mentor young adults from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to create an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment.

  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and student records.

  • Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, accountability, and strong teamwork.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, crouch, climb, push, pull, and lift as required by the position.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and/or appropriately assess a lifting situation and request assistance when necessary.
